As a confirmation of our appreciation for the land and our origins, Podere La Berta is devoted local grape varieties from Romagna – Sangiovese, Albana, Trebbiano and Cagnina Pagadebit.

The Sangiovese varietal, the most Italian of all grapes, is indigenous to Romagna and areas north of the Apennines – and is our calling card as ambassadors of quality viticulture from Romagna. Very fresh, with hard tannins, it produces a wine that combines a tough exterior with a sweet interior.

The marriage of terrain exposure and microclimate, accompanied by modern vinification techniques, give special characteristics to the wines while expressing uniqueness and singularity of Podere La Berta.
