Fermentation, malolactic, and maturation in steel, followed by assembly of the final blend, and bottle-ageing for a minimum of 3 months.

Appearance: Vibrant ruby red.
Bouquet: Redolent of wild red and black berryfruit, with fragrant impressions of spice, alongside earthy mineral and a hint of toastiness.
Palate: Crisp, enfolding, and energy-driven, with glossy, fragrant tannins and a long-lingering finish.

ALBICOCCO (apricot)
The ancient wild apricot is a classic denizen of our hills in the area of Brisighella, producing a juicy, sweet, richly-flavoured fruit that conjures up smooth velvet. The Vena del Gesso area, just a few kilometres from the cellar, still boasts the albicocca tonda di Tossignano cultivar, in a few surviving trees.
The sangiovese grape grows in these same areas, and its green colour on the wine label pays homage to the olive trees and artichoke fields of Moretto that flourish near La Berta, thanks to favourable weather conditions.
